JUNE FLOWER OF THE MONTH ~ THE ROSE (An Autograph from the hand of God)

"Every rose is an autograph from the hand of God on his world about us. He has inscribed his thoughts in these marvelous hieroglyphics which sense and science have, these many thousand years, been seeking to understand."

There's the Carefree they didn't have at Telly's! Love it. AM happy with my Golden Wings--it has a lot of blooms and I'm pruned some spent ones, too.

Your portrait of Carefree Beauty is stunning Joey! Gorgeous photo! The senses of our minds and hearts are deeply moved. ;>)

Thanks, dear Katarina. Know how you love pink!

Hi Frances. A 'Clydesdale' in my garden, this carefree is 28 years old and still going strong.

So sorry, Eileen. Rabbits ARE rascals!

Thanks, dear Kiki. Wishing you, too, have a magical day!

Hi Monica with the wonderful memory :) Yes, this is the Carefree Beauty I was looking for to compliment the few remaining, dancing down the hill. I'm happy you're happy ... did you photograph your Golden Wings in bloom?

How lovely, Carol, and thank you. June is a beautiful month ... do enjoy :)
Good morning Joey. What a beautiful way to start my morning:) I've heard a lot of rose growers rave about Carefree Beauty. I'm a huge admirer of Griffith Buck roses, I have three that I love but not CB.

A beautiful rose, and a wonderful quote to go with it.

Thanks, Marnie ... how sweet! Am not familiar with Griffith Buck Roses but knowing your taste in flowers, must be beautiful. Scary news about the coyote ... hope it was a one time scare!

Thanks Nancy ... Happy June :)

Dear Joey, I have been away for so long but what a delight to return to your wonderful images, as always, and well chosen text both of which reassure that in a constantly changing world, some things remain constant - your beautiful postings. The only sadness today that there is no delicious receipt for me to imagine, however briefly, that I will go henceforth into the kitchen and don an apron!
Gorgeous photograph Joey. I hadn't seen that quote before, but it's perfect!
Beautiful! My 'Carefree Beauty' is just about done with its first flush. I was noticing how different is the color between the just opened blooms and the aging ones. Dee, at Red Dirt Ramblings, has posted about Griffin Buck's roses, including 'Carefree Beauty.'

Very pretty photo,I went and took a few myself the other day. They keep me busy,I have over 300 with around 120 different types so I/m sure I'll be posting a few.
Lovely photo of a beautiful rose

Beckie and I visited a rose garden on Saturday--the sights and smells were heavenly! A lovely quote--the rose has to be one of God's most perfect creations.
It's a great image of a wonderful bloom. Very elegant. It's not easy to move the eyes away from it. Thank you, Joey!

And by any other name, it would still smell as sweet and look as pretty. :)

I wouldn't mind if June were the month of roses. Not one as of yet here. We're pretty behind the rest of the gardening world: I still have spring bulbs blooming.

Beautiful shot joey - the colour and form are amazing. I like looking at roses 'cause I don't have too much luck with any except a couple of climbers.

Hugs, dear Edith. I'm delighted to see you are back. Your journey was long and hard, one I can relate to. As always, your kind words warm my heart. I assure you, more recipes will follow ... I too have been OOT much during the past few weeks, finalizing my sister's estate. Long and hard, my posting has been erratic but cooking in my kitchen and gardening has been constant!

Thanks Clare ... the quote is from one of my favorite books ... Quotations on the Perennial Pleasures of Soil, Seed, and Sun.

Agree MMG ... Carefree Beauty is a beauty :)

Thanks Chad ... wow 300 ... I've been there too. Aren't you happy we don't have to pay for film and processing :)

Thanks Rob ... delighted to see we both have roses in bloom!

And that would be you, dear Rose! This quote fits. Delighted to see Thelma & Louise back on the road :)

How kind, Tatyana. Thank you, dear gardening friend!

You are a dear, Kala. Big thanks!

Soon enough, Christine. My garden has been popping too fast for me!

Thanks Rick ... this rose is an oldie but goodie!

Hi Joey, I feel like a long lost friend! ;-) But, I think we're all in the same boat these days. Isn't it wonderful getting outdoors??

My birthday is in June. I love the rose, but when I was growing up "my" flower was the oriental poppy. I don't have one because they take full sun, but hopefully again someday.
joey said…
Hi long lost friend and happy June Birthday (you sure picked a pretty month. Shady)! Yes, great to be outdoors but hard to keep up when running back & forth to lake (3 1/2 hours north). We finally sold my sister's house (bittersweet) last weekend and moved her furnishings ... back again tomorrow, entertaining dear friends from here. Desperately need to spend more time quality time in the garden although it looks lush, including the overlooked weeds :)

Joey I like to think that "Every rose is an autograph from the hand of God" I shall look at my roses differently from now on.
My roses and hydrangeas are in bloom at the same time..I know God has a hand in that!!smiling
joey said…
Hi dear Ronelle! A joy to hear from you and thank you. It's been way too long, hard during this busy time to wrap my arms around all my dear friends. Can't wait to try the fruits in your last post ... perfect for June!

As you well know, dear Anna, God has his autograph on all living things. I'm delighted to see you smiling. You are a gift to all who know you. June hugs.
