"Winter, a lingering season, is a time to gather golden moments, embark upon a sentimental journey, and enjoy every idle hour."
~ John Boswell

Then we have a menu which sounds so tasty, all we need is a glass of red wine.
Cute, Gail:) Yes, Harry & John collaborated with me on this post.
I'm honored, imac, and thank you. I did leave you a glass of red wine on the table in front of the fire :)
Hubbard Lake is just beautiful. Your photos warm my spirit as well.
Marnie
What a stunning collection.

Thanks Marnie ... you are always so kind. One day, one day, I hope to get my last book published (a possum runs through the pages, a huge part of the story and why I so enjoyed your last post).
This is a beautiful piece of earth, dear Jen, blessed to have found it (actually, it found us). The equinox sets directly in front ... breathtaking!
Never fear, Robin, and thanks! The troops are never far behind!
Thanks, dear Nancy ... we've been friends long enough for you to know how this spot touches my heart. Note: if you make the chili, invite a crowd ... maybe perfect for a 'housewarming' invite to your new apartment!
Shady, you are such a dear. Mr. Shady and I should have a chili 'cook-off' :) Ah, yes, I dream of being outside ... the best is when the lake thaws and my loons return. We have been blessed to be there on the very day ... loons know and never arrive until winter is over. It's an awesome sight to see!
I stumbled upon your blog from another blog which I found from twitter...you know how it goes. I love your photos and your whole site is absolutely delightful! I live in Grosse Pointe so not far from you. I enjoy visiting blogs and photo sites, and I'm glad I found yours!

We have a full moon snowshoe coming up this Sunday evening. Chili seems like the perfect warm up after our big adventure. Fingers crossed for clear skies. Lovely pics.
How fun, Kate, a perfect evening! I do so wish you a crystal clear sky ... Happy snowshoeing :)
Yes it is good, Rose, and why I leave a piece of my heart behind each time we leave. But I'm also happy to return to my home here that also feeds my soul. I'm truly blessed to have the best of both worlds. BTW, loved your 'weed' post!
Your tulip photos make me feel spring-like. Beautiful photography as always, Joey!
And since I rarely have an idle moment, I hope you won't mind if I'll have some of that Hubbard Lake Chili to go.
Stay warm, my friend.
So happy to hear from you, dear Marysol, and thanks. I We must catch up :)
You've got the exposure spot on with the sunset photo. Perfect.
Indeed Rob, it does the job! Thanks for the nice comment :)
