Great post! I lived right next door to Circa and never once had a chance to stop! Guess I was too tired after work. I have been to all the others though. Isn't Leelanau fantastic! I hope to move there permanently someday.

I do hope your wish comes true, flowgirl1 ... (Not a shabby view)! Circa is getting rave reviews as are many of our award-winning MI wines ...

Hugs, sweet Gail! Last week's vacation meets this week's reality :)

I'm so sorry for your loss, I know that she was very loved. I'm sorry I haven't been following your blog much this summer to know.
Thank you for your uplifting words, this is a day I truly needed them.

When they say wine country, they must be talking about where you live. You captured the beauty well!

Augh .... I want to come on the wine tour with you next time please - it just looks so gorgeous (and the wine is an added bonus of course!)
I'll bet all your friends are getting a bottle of Michigan wine for Christmas;) Love the stone building.

Thank you and welcome, Sue. I live in MI but not in the wine country, a beautiful and fruitful area to visit.

Now wouldn't that be fun, Nutty! Indeed, the wine is an added bonus ... it's delightful to uncork a bottle and remember the fertile earth from where it came!

Oh yes, Marnie, especially the sparkling wines from L. Mawby,, perfect for the holidays. Willow Vineyard is indeed charming with a stunning view. When we were there, they were pressing grapes ... very interesting (should have included those photos)!

BEAUTIFUL images, Joey! Michigan is rich with wineries, isn't it?

It's amazing how many wineries there are on Leelanau. I've been to many, but off the ones you visited, I've only been to Mawby. So many more to visit. Just thinking about it makes me happy. Thanks for the dose of happiness.

Beautiful photos and montages.

Isn't the countryside gorgeous, too? You've been having a good time, I see! The drive alone lifted my spirits! :-) Hugs!! SG

You could illustrate the travel books, Joey, or do you already do that? I love the hand holding the sign at Mawby. And the gargoyle at Willow. That one looks especially grand. :-)

Indeed it is, Kylee, and becoming richer each year ... a wonderful gift for our waning economy.

We return each autumn, Lindalou, amazed with each new offering in both wine and new vineyards. We are indeed blessed to have this gift ... after all, we are the 'Great Lake State' :)

How sweet, dear Frances! Because of my great passion for this beautiful state, I deemed myself a self-proclaimed 'ambassador' :)

Hugs Shady ... have you ever visited? When here next summer/autumn, grab your son's hand and drag his family UP NORTH :)

Hello, dear Cat, and thank you for your kind thoughts. Although a trip we annually take, this year was tough with loosing my sister and running back & forth settling her estate. But we did it in her memory ... 2 short days with dear friends joining us. I post not only for myself but as a Michigan blogger, loving this state ... each wine we choose, then drink, is extra-special after visiting the beautiful vineyards, seeing/photographing the earth where grapes were grown, and visiting with the owners, in awe of how they tender the earth. And you and I both know how to honor the full moon ... toasting thoughts of each other. (BIG HUGS)
