I have used this saying many a time while I was teaching Biology. It makes the kids stop and think. Beautiful apples and I love the red barn in the background.

Dearest Anna ~ thank you for always being there. I was so sad ;(
reading your last post and tried to comment but couldn't. I will so miss you and worry until I hear Rufus and you are no longer together. Please keep in touch ... I so care about you and delight in all the wisdom and creativity that you have shared. BIG HUGS dear friend.

Hi Cindy ~ you can always omit the nuts ... the flavor and texture is still there.

Dear Beckie ~ you are as sweet as this yummy cake! Do hope you are feeling better.

Thanks Katarina ~ you are an inspirational blogger also, always a delight (we have much in common)! Enjoy the cake ~ wishing you a stunning autumn with each yummy forkful ;)

A joyful weekend to you also, dear Tyra! Off UP NORTH to the lake again for an eating frenzy (hosting family brunch) and catching the remains of fall color.

Hi EAT ~ tnaks and good to see you! Yes, it's been awhile and fun to connect.

2 of my favorites also, P.G. When I eat dessert, I crave a good one! Enjoy the weekend!

Oh YUM! This sounds wonderful. I have a ton of apples and am getting sick of pies. Like Cindy, we have "nut issues" so good to know they can be eliminated.

Hi Joey - You know - I just might have to start cooking - your recipes always sound so good.
(I hate my cooker and it hates me :) )

Enjoy JGH ~ you can almost always omit nuts without loosing the essence of the recipe (unless, of course, it's a NUT recipe ;)

You know, Robin, it's all about portion size. We can eat anything and everything ... Dolly Parton eats just a forkful of anything she wants and look where it ends up ;)

Dear Karen ~ just cook! Doesn't have to be complicated, with your artistic talent you'll be surprised what wonderous works of art flow from your kitchen.

Indeed it is a fabulous Friday, Bren, and you are the sweetest, owning a special place in my heart. Yes, I'm on facebook only because of my children and their friend's requests, who have asked me to join (now all grown yet so important as parents in OUR lives today and as I write, waiting at the lake for them to arrive). I will pop over and chat.
