Amazing collection of clocks Joey, where did you find them. It is a true spring sign when you turn the clock to summertime.

I love the assemblage of those many clocks! I'd frame that one. A great vintage piece of art you've got there.

Is this Your clock collection? Wow! It would make a great poster... kind of like "The Doors of..." :-)
Happy Nearly Spring!

Thanks Marmee ~ it's been busy but time well spent. Left the snowy lake (and sister) ... welcomed home by buckets of rain and thunder! Hope your weekend was wonderful also :)

Hi dear Tyra! Yes, I love this day ... spring is springing! My great-uncle was a jeweler and clock collector ... as a child, I delighted in spending the night, listening to the soothing effect of unique ticking and chimes. These are clocks from the cottage and home. Hope your weekend was delightful!

Thanks Brenda ~ two favorites of 'many favorites': at the cottage, an antique Black Forest hand-carved/painted Hunter's Cuckooo Clock; at home, a Federal inlaid Mahogany Tall-Case.

Hi Shady and thanks ~ It does resemble a doors poster and, yes, all are mine ... plus more! Happy Nearly Spring to you also :)

I love old clocks and there are some fabulous ones in your collection - don't you just adore that rythmic sound?!
Very poetic, Joey...I loved it :)

Whenever I think about time, I am reminded of the children's verse :
Row, row, row your boat,
Gently down the stream,
Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily,
Life is but a dream :)

Indeed I do love the rythmic sound, Nutty, but the chimes and cuckoos seem to annoy many :0)

Thanks WG ~ always a delight to hear from you. (Perhaps a new post is up ... yea!)
Very nice collage. I spent quite a bit of time () studying it.

Where on earth did you find a pic of sooo many clocks?
That extra hour of late day sun is nice to have.

Joey,

It's been so gorgeous here this weekend! Waking up this morning at 7:00am (6:00am a few days ago), the sky was a beautiful blue with soft, pink clouds.

I have been playing blog hooky – it’s been so sunny and warm (85 degrees today) that I’ve not been on my computer much at all during the day!
Cheers,
Cameron

Hi Chris ... about 'time' you popped over to say hello :) Spring is springing ... our cameras will be clicking, BIG TIME !

Dear Patsi, these are all my clocks (and not all)! Love daylight savings since I'm a gal that embraces the 'remains of the day'!

Oh lucky you, Cameron! Barely remember my last 85 degree day! Saying goodbye to the 70s on Friday, we traveled north to the cottage greeted by snowy 35 degree lake weather. Michigan weather vascillates between extremes in early spring ~ frankly, I love it!

Wow...those clocks are so cool!

Great post, I especially like the quote about lost time...very good! Kim

Thanks dear Kim ... always a gal tugging at my heart. These are all my clocks (plus many more)! Kids tease me about all my collections and what they are going to do with them when ... I'm gone :) I'm a big fan of Ben and love this quote, tucking it in my head each day.

What a fantastic collage of clocks, and now I see in your comment that they're all yours, too. I love old clocks; you have some beautiful pieces.

Thanks, Joey, for putting a positive spin on the day. I always dreaded the beginning of daylight savings time because I had so much trouble getting up early for work. But that extra hour of daylight at the end of the day makes it all worthwhile. But where does that "lost" hour go??:)
joey said…
Hi Rose ~ I do love my clocks, all of the above mentioned plus my bear clocks at the lake that make me smile :) Regarding the lost hour, I think of it as a 'present', one we can unwrap either in the morning or evening (count me in for 'the remains of the day':)

Joey, with that massive collection of clocks, how do you really know what time it is? :-)

You know, I happily welcome daylight-savings time. Now, if only the arctic temperatures would try to catch up, I'd be truly happy.
That's true about lost time but sometimes time seems to go on forever;)
Marnie
LOL, DST makes me grumpy, whether an hour is taken away or added!
joey said…
Funny Marysol :) Please know I live with a man with a hint of a OCD ~ each clock synchronized! Now since I'm discussing disorders, I have a hint of SAD so these longer late-winter days are most welcome ... and daylight savings, even better since I thrive on 'alfresco dining' :)

Interesting topic, Marnie ... time seemed to last forever when I was a child but as I've grown older, each year speeds up like a spiraling ball of twine ... with each revolution, time accelerates as we unwind the spiral and approach the center or end.

Oh grumpy Monica ~ please join me in rejoicing :)

Hope you are enjoying a little bit warmer weather ~we are getting rain, its in the 40's very dreary, but daffodils are blooming & signs of spring are popping out all over!:)

Thanks dear Cat! Wish Mr. Grump liked them (some are his) as much as you do ... imagine him adjusting them (both here & at the lake) to daylight savings :)
