Joey, I saw the moon last night-early evening actually. Wasn't it magnificent! I had heard that it was to be the biggest of 2008 and was so happy we didn't have acloud cover.

Your picture is beautiful. I love the way you super impose pictures. Itried to get a shot, but mine doesn'tzoom very well. So thanks for sharing yours!

What a amazing picture, great capture. I love it.

I heard about the moon on the news last night, but we were not going to be able to even see it. With the snow and mixed rain last night, the weatherman was saying if it had been colder, we would have had 2 feet of snow. Our rain poured down all day......

Hi Monica ~ yes, those stunning hemlocks are mine. We're at the cottage (you can see the lake in the background) with over 2 feet of beautiful snow.

Thanks Beckie ~ wasn't the moon breathtaking (looked pregnant)!

We were blessed with a crystal clear sky last night, Jen. Amazing moon!Perhaps you'll catch a view tonight!

Thanks Naturegirl. Wishing you a clear sky since it should be beautiful again tonight.

Joey, As we were driving to a friend's house last night the magnificant move was rising...I knew that I would get to see it again when bloggers showed their photos...I am not disappointed this is a wonderful photo! You did the moon proud! Gail

Unfortunately, yesterday was wet, wild, windy and wet here in Nova Scotia and the sky was cloudy last night. It should be beautiful again tonight, however. :)

Hi Joey, Are you sure this is a real photo? It's absolutely amazing! How do you superimpose two photos like that? Is one yours, and the other from National Geographic? I love it. It;s so unual. I took a photo of the moon last night, too, but haven't taken it off my camera yet. I had no idea it was even a news-making moon; somehow I was just drawn outside to look at it. It must have been so bright it just beckoned me! I might post mine at some point--'if I get around to it', sigh. Jan/ThanksFor2Day

Amazing Joey! We were socked in by a snow storm so we missed seeing this last night. I read it won't look like this again for another fifteen years.

Thanks PGR ~ I'm blessed to be surrounded by beautiful hemlocks both at home and here at the lake ... love 'em!

You're most kind, Cameron ~ thank you. I have 'a thing' for the moon (a gift from my father as a child ... a beautiful story.)

Thanks Gail ~ I'm sure there will be many posted since it certainly was a spectacular show!

I'm wishing you a clear sky tonight, dear Nancy. Ours here tonight is 'iffy'.

Thank you, Jan. Yes this is real and my photos, a multiple exposure. A photography enthusiast for many years, all photos posted on my blog are mine.

Thank you, Cindy. Do hope you have a chance to see this beauty tonight!

I watched the moon come up earlier this evening and was struck at how beautiful it was...no snow here after the assorted rainstorms and 60 degree temperature of yesterday (today its 28. Ah, winter in NS)...

I made a point of going out last night to see the moon--it was spectacular! You've captured a fantastic image of it, Joey.

The word verification is "wings"--makes me think of "Fly Me to the Moon":)

Thanks Anne ~ I truly enjoyed posting this beauty ;)

Oh what a night, Brenda! I had so hoped to have a clear evening and was blessed.

Glad you could at least see the moon here, Karen. Tonight is overcast and the night sky, silent!

Indeed the moon was haunting, Connie! Thank you.

Wow 60 degress, Jodi! Extremes in both life and the weather ... what life seems all about ;)

Ah dear Rose ~ thank you and glad you captured a moment to see this spectacular event.

Did you take that photo, Joey?? Sounds like we were all pretty much affected by that moon! It was fairly celestial over here! xoxo
Good Morning Joey on the third Sunday in Advent. What an extraordinary beautiful picture you show us today. When I saw it I called for my husband 'come and see this fantastic picture from National Geographic!' We were both so amazed by it. But the photographer was you, brilliant work girl! xoxo Tyra

Hello Joey!
I knew this was the place to come to see 2008's BIGGEST, BRIGHTEST MOST BEAUTIFULLY CAPTURED FULL MOON!:D Absolutely stunning through your gorgeous hemlocks! I did get a quick peak ~before the clouds hid it from view~long enough to bring my thoughts to you.

It was too cloudy to see so I'm enjoying yours instead. I love how it is reflecting off the snow on the trees which makes it seem even bigger.
joey said…
... and I was thinking of you also, dear Cat. Wish it had lingered longer for you ... it certainly was a sight to behold! Hugs.

Sorry Anna :( It was the fattest moon I have ever seen!
