Now that was very interesting. The 12 Moons of the Year.... is there a summer moon and so on? I see you have painted the moon above with an autumn glow and it is so smart looking.

I always think of Autumn as the most wise month. It's just a feeling I get. I can't explain it but I really connect with it. Maybe it's cause when you get older less things bother you and Autumn seems to be happy and contented.
I love the full moon and I can feel it in my body, I think it is amazing and fascinating. I saw a movie the other night called The Dish starring Sam Neill it is about the landing on the moon in 1969, have you seem it? It is nice little film./ Tyra

I adore Hal Borland's work, and this excerpt is a perfect illustration of why. Can't you feel yourself "there"? Your photo is a beautiful layering. Unfortunately, it was mostly overcast last night, so we didn't get a good view of November's "Beaver Moon", except for the diffuse, white glow that hung low in the sky.
I loved the quote from Hal Borland. Doesn't it evoke a clear, peaceful picture. It makes me want to go walking even though the temps here are in the low 30's and it's raining.

Thanks I~farmer ~ a bit of a challenge but fun!

Dear Anna ~ I must agree. Bittersweet autumn is hauntingly beautiful in many ways.

Hi Tyra ~ I feel the same about the moon (a long story but a gift from my father as a child). Today's glowed extra-special on my birthday!

Thanks artistic Karen. How kind a fun way to celebrate this special day.

Most kind, Cherry. Thank you.

I loved this Hal Borland excerpt and quote, Nancy. Somehow, it just seemed perfect!

Exactly Marnie ... you got it!

Thanks Connie ~ I have a passion for the moon!

Hi Amy ~ and big thanks. You are most kind!

Mystical. Autumn is a time to rest.
Just wish it was sunny.

I love this quote from Hal Borland--such vivid description of a quiet autumn evening. I've read only When the Legends Die by him; I should read more of his writing.

I agree with Inadvertent Farmer (what a clever name!)about this photo--the effects you create in your photos are amazing, Joey.

Yes Patsi ~ the season boldly shouts in vivid color, "See me!" before quietly resting ... a good lesson that it's time to take a nap.

Dear Rose ~ I love Hal Borland. This was a fun post, capturing thoughts through 'my birthday' moon.
