A HINT OF AUTUMN IN THE AIR (THANK YOU HURRICANE GUSTAV FOR 'COZY' SEPTEMBER RAIN) / APPLE PECAN MUFFINS
"The best kind of rain, of course, is a cozy rain. This is the kind the anonymous medieval poet makes me remember, the rain that falls on a day when you'd just as soon stay in bed a little longer, write letters or read a good book by the fire, take early tea with hot scones and jam and look out the streaked window with complacency."

A clever collage of great books!
Beautiful sunflowers on yesterday's post.
Making apples is a nesting and comfort kind of activity. Loved your collage today with books and hydrangea. I'm longing for some rain too. I tired to log on to our weather channel just now. It must be busy with Hannah coming our way.
I give the best hugs so I wish I was going to be there to give one to you and your sister. Not to mention have some apple muffins. I want a lot of brown sugar glaze drizzled over the top.
We've had rain since mid July~ the grass is greener now than it was in the spring. Quite amazing.
