TREES

I think that I shall never see
A poem lovely as a tree.
A tree whose hungry mouth is prest
Against the earth's sweet flowing breast;
A Tree that looks at God all day,
And lifts her leafy arms to pray;
A tree that may in Summer wear
A nest of robins in her hair;
Upon whose bosom snow has lain;
Who intimately lives with rain.
Poems are made by fools like me,
But only God can make a tree.

Thanks for your kind comment. Your photography is most inspirational and one of my favorite photography haunts.
Do you have individual photos on a site like Flickr?
Hope your weekend was good!
Cat
child, but had forgotten everything except the first and last lines. ( a plague of being in my 50's. Yikes!)
I was trying to
find this poem to show to our daughter, and thankfully, found it
on your website. Your photographs
are beautiful and capture the wonder
of trees! Thank you for sharing them!
