ROMANTIC WINTER BLOOMERS ~ 'CYMBIDIUMS on PARADE'

In their natural habitats, cymbidiums grow at the higher altitudes in the temperate zone of mid-Asia (China, Japan) down through southeast Asia and extending south of the equator with a number of species in Australia. The climatic conditions found there are also found at sea level in the coastal regions of California (USA), along the coast in the Mediterranean and in part of New Zealand and Australia as well as South Africa.

Saw you at Tom's place.

You have some really nice photographs here of flowers in bloom. Also liked the post yesterday. Nice work.
The nearest thing i have to these are my indoor orchid plants :)
Lovely orchid faces, such a nice contrast to the winter blues.

Thank you all for the kind words.

I agree with you, old tom wigley, it is always a pleasure to meet new visitors :) I see that you have quite a following (david & oldmanlincoln)! Indeed you may link and I will also.

These orchids are my part of my 'indoor garden', wildlife gardener. I love photographing orchid faces, each different.

Nina, I needed contrast! It has been minus 0 with windchill ...
